Vestry Meeting
Minutes
December 15, 2025
Call Meeting to Order: Shirley
Opening Prayer: Diana
Vestry Members Present: Sam, Rita, Carolyn, Frank & Diana.
Others Present: The Rev. Jim Stewart.
On Zoom: Sarah, Doug & Shirley.
Approve Current Agenda (Amendments/Changes, etc.) Diana made a motion to approve the current agenda with additions. Carolyn seconded and the motion carried
Approve Minutes: Frank made a motion to approve the minutes from the meeting on November 17, 2025. Rita seconded and the motion carried.
Treasurer's Report- Sarah Healy
Carolyn made a motion to except the financials. Diana seconded and the motion carried.
Old Business:
1. Annual Meeting: The meeting will be January 11, 2026 following church. Please have your reports in to Sam by January 1, 2026.
2. Handicapped Parking: The plan is to add a new space in the spring.
3. Wyoming Gas Bill: After speaking with Wyoming Gas the appropriate amount ($250) is being withdrawn.
4. Renting Church & Parish Hall Agreement: Jim made the motion that the agreement be used with adjustments made. Shirley seconded and the motion carried.
New Business
1. St. Alban’s 75th Anniversary: We will continue to look into this.
2. Vestry Member’s: We looked at when everyone’s terms are up as Vestry members. We need to be looking for someone to replace Rita as her term is ending.
3. St. Christopher’s Letter from the Vestry for Foundation Grant: Sam presented the letter from the Vestry to everyone that will be used toa assist with grant. Rita made a motion that the letter be signed by all Vestry members present. Doug seconded and the motion carried.
4. Sunday School: Doug recommended that we be prepared when families with children come to church by having some kind of activity prepared. Jim and Shirley will see what the Diocese has available.
Reports:
1. Rector’s Report-The Rev. Jim Stewart: Jim let us know that the Thanksgiving dinner went great and 10 were in attendance. Bible study will be wrapping up this week and has had good attendance. Blue Christmas was a success. Standing Committee is working towards the bishop search. Property Committee is working their way across the state. There will be a 3-day meeting in Casper in January for the Standing Committee and Diocese Council. The Ministerial Association will begin preparing Christmas baskets soon. The Love Thy Neighbor grant from the Foundation has been distributed.
2. Sr. Warden's Report-Shirley Wildman: Shirley reported that they are close to having the museum on the reservation finished. She has a foundation meeting in February. She is working on a grant that would help the Washakie Museum with the upcoming Sand Creek Massacre display they want to bring in.
3. Jr. Warden's Report-Samantha Strickler: Sam let everyone know that Andy Lowe is working on repairing the urinal.
4. Born Again-Shirley Wildman: Born Again had an early Black Friday sale. They had a $1,300 day. Tomorrow through Friday they will have a storewide half price sale. Sheri is the December and January manager.
5. ECW Report- Shirley Wildman: St. Albans Annual Christmas party will be December 18th at 5:30pm.
6. Congregational Care Team: The next meeting will be January 12th at 9:00 am.
7. Vestry Reports: Frank reported that he is getting ready for the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. Rita let us know that she received an update on the stove hood for the kitchen. They are quoting $25,000-$30,000 and that does not include the fire suppression.
