Vestry Meeting
Minutes
February 9, 2026
Call Meeting to Order: Shirley
Opening Prayer: Jim
Vestry Members Present: Sam, Carolyn, Frank & Diana.
Others Present: The Rev. Jim Stewart.
On Zoom: Sarah, Doug & Shirley.
Approve Current Agenda (Amendments/Changes, etc.) Frank made a motion to approve the current agenda with additions. Diana seconded and the motion carried
Approve Minutes: Frank made a motion to approve the minutes from the meeting on December 15, 2025. Carolyn seconded and the motion carried.
Treasurer's Report- Sarah Healy
Doug made a motion to except the financials. Diana seconded and the motion carried.
Old Business:
1. Annual Meeting: We still have an opening available for a Vestry member.
2. Sanctuary & Parish Hall Use Policy: Frank made a motion to except the policy with the corrections made from the previous meeting. Carolyn seconded and the motion carried.
New Business
1. Executive Session: Shirley made a motion that we go into executive session. Sam seconded and the motion carried.
Shirley made the motion that we resume our regular vestry meeting. Doug seconded and the motion carried.
2. Zoom account for The Rev. Jim Stewart: Sam let the vestry know that Jim needs his own zoom account at the roles he has in the new bishop search are confidential and she should not be a part of them. Carolyn made the motion that we get Jim his own zoom account. Diana seconded and the motion carried.
3. Hannover Canal Meeting: Frank volunteered to attend this year.
Reports:
1. Rector’s Report-The Rev. Jim Stewart: Jim gave the vestry a thank you card. He attended the Confluence in Casper. This will most likely be the last one. He reported that the annual meeting went well. The Episcopal Immigration meetings are every Tuesday and he has been attending. There is an upcoming Wyoming Equality in Cheyenne and Mary Caucutt will be speaking. The 4 Chaplin service at the American Legion was attended by many churches. It helps remind us we are in this together. Jim is on the rotation to write letters for the newspaper. Ann & Andy played in Thermopolis at Holy Trinity’s Celtic service this month. He has been working on Standing Committee to interview candidates for the search committee and transition committee. There has been 1 funeral and 1 internment this year. Ash Wednesday service will ne at noon on February 18th. Ashes will be available from 8:00am-3:00pm.
2. Sr. Warden's Report-Shirley Wildman: Shirley reported that she has continued to work with the museum on the grant.
3. Jr. Warden's Report-Samantha Strickler: Sam let everyone know that Crow Bar was here to do the assessment on the church. We will hear from them soon. Big Horn Heating and Cooling will be here this month to do the maintenance on the furnaces. The fire extinguishers we ordered from Frandson Safety came in and she installed them in the church.
4. Born Again-Shirley Wildman: Born Again is currently working on its sick leave and vacation policy for its employees.
5. ECW Report- Shirley Wildman: There is a meeting planned in March. They will be delivering valentines on Friday,
6. Congregational Care Team: they met today and things are going well. The next meeting is March 9th.
7. Vestry Reports: Carolyn reported that the Food Bank this month went well and there was lots of produce.
